Ans.: No. It is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai (MSBTE) & approved by Government of Maharashtra & AICTE, New Delhi. All the Diploma certificates are awarded by MSBTE.

Ans.: As most of the students join higher education (Engineering degree), placement for the students those who aspire to seek job is almost 100%. For example our students are placed in the leading industries like- TATA Motors, ITC, Honda, L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Wipro, Tech-Mahindra, IBM, EMCO etc.

Bus Facility

Q: Whether Bus facility is provided by college?

Ans.: No. But College location is accessible from any part of the city by municipal transport system. Buses of more than 20 Bus routes stop at the main gate of the campus.

What is TFWS?

Q: What is TFWS?

Ans.: Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme. Guidelines for Tuition Fee Waiver (TFWS) Scheme.
  • The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme shall be applicable to all the sanctioned seats of the diploma engineering courses in the Government colleges or institutions , grant-in-aided colleges or institution and unaided colleges or institutions approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
  • Only Maharashtra State Candidature candidates are eligible for these seats
  • Eligible Maharashtra State Candidates having their parent’s annual income from all sources less than Rs.6.00 Lakhs shall only be eligible for these seats. The candidate shall submit Income certificate of financial year 2017-18 issued by Appropriate Authority.
  • The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme shall be for the complete duration of the course and the students admitted under this scheme shall not be allowed to change the institution or the course under any circumstances.
  • The Waiver is limited to the tuition fee as approved by the State Level Fee Regulation Authority.
  • All other fee except tuition fees shall be paid by the beneficiary.
  • Income certificate must be obtained from the Tahsildar.

Eligibility Criterion

Q: What is the eligibility criteria for admission?

Ans.: Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (Std X) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent, with subjects Mathematics, General science & English with minimum 35% aggregate marks.

Other than Maharashtra state candidates shall be eligible for institution quota only after subject to approval from DTE/ MSBTE.

Documents required - First Year

Q: Which documents are required for admission process for First year Diploma?

Ans.: following Documents are required for approval of admission:

For all candidates -

  1. SSC Marksheet*
  2. 8th & 9th marksheets or Proforma ‘Z’ from respective school*
  3. School leaving certificate*
  4. Nationality certificate *
  5. AADHAR Card*
  6. Original receipt of payment for admission form Kit*

For Candidates seeking reservation or scholarship – as per respective category (in addition to the above documents)

  1. Fathers Income Certificate. (issued by Tahsildar/ Executive Magistrate), (For SC, ST, NT, VJ and OBC,SBC,EBC & TFWS)
  2. Caste Certificate & Caste validity (For SC, ST, NT, VJ, SBC and OBC Scholarship)
  3. Non creamy layer certificate for OBC, NT, VJ, SBC only
  4. AADHAR Linked Bank Account in Nationalize Bank(For all scholarships)
  5. Five passport size color photographs
  6. HSC Mark-sheet (If appeared).
  7. Migration Certificate (for OMS candidate)

Q: What is ARC?

Ans.: “Application Form Receipt Center.” Govt. and Govt. aided colleges are nominated as ARCs. List of ARC is available on Website: http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in

What is FC?

Q: What is FC?

Ans.: “Facilitation Center.” Bharati Vidyapeeth’s JNIOT, Pune is selected as an authorized FC for admission to First & Direct Second year of diploma courses. Application kit is available for sale at FC. Print copy of online application should be verified at FC and the Confirmation of filled application form is Compulsory.

Q: How to get cut off list of last year admission of your college?

Ans.: Last year’s cutoff list is available in the link “Admission 2017-18” on the web site http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in

Scholarships

Q: Whether your institute provides scholarship to the students?

Ans.: Yes. All scholarships of government are applicable as per the government rules & procedures. In addition to this some NGOs and Industries also help students from weaker section.

EBC Scholarships

Q: Whether your institute provides EBC scholarship to the students in Open category?

Ans.: Yes. The EBC is applicable to students who are not covered in other scheme but are economically backward (Annual Income is less than 8 Lakhs). The EBC is given by Govt. of Maharashtra through DTE, as per their rules & procedures.

*Separate Guidance session is arranged for Scholarship information including EBC, procedure, documents & online scholarship form filling for newly admitted students.

Fee Structure

Q: What is the fee structure?

Ans.: The Fees Regularity Authority (FRA) has approved fees of Rs.70,000/- for newly admitted students from the academic year 2019-20.

Fee remains same?

Q: Whether the fee remains same for all years as paid in first year?

Ans.: Yes. The Student will pay the same amount of fees in second & third year too.

Medical Facility

Q: Is there any medical facility available in your college to students?

Ans.: Yes. BVMF (Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Medical Foundation) medical hospital is operating in the same campus. The institute has signed the MOU with Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Ayurvedic college. In addition to this Medical Health Scheme is also available for all students.

Performing practicals

Q: Is there any facility for students to perform practical after college timing?

Ans.: Yes. With the permission of the HOD and under the guidance of concerned faculty the student can perform practical after college timings.

CAP filling

Q: Is there free option form (CAP) filling facility available at college?

Ans.: Yes. This facility is available free of cost in the institute in the computer lab under guidance of expert faculties.

Q: How to fill the option form in CAP?

Ans.: College provides counseling sessions for Option form filling and helps the students to fill the form.

Fees in installments

Q: Is there any provision for paying fees in installments?

Ans.: Yes. For students from poor economic background, payment in two installments may be permitted with the permission of the Principal.

Q: When our original documents will be given back?

Ans.: After verification from DTE or approval of scholarship forms or second semester examination whichever is later.

Library Facility

Q: Is there library facility available at night?

Ans.: Yes. Reading room facility is available till 6 pm.

Sports and Cultural Events

Q: Is there any facility for sports & cultural events?

Ans.: Yes. Student can contact Sport Director for different facilities. Gymkhana section provides equipment and guidance for all the sports events and send teams for participation in IEDSSA Tournaments. Many students win medals in different sports events.

Accommodation

Q: Will I get accommodation on campus?

Ans.: Yes, if you book in advance since campus hostel accommodation is very much in demand. The Institute has luxurious self–sufficient hostel rooms available for National/International students.

Food on the Campus

Q: What kind of food is available on the campus?

Ans.: There are more than 4 Canteens & Cafeteria catering to the needs of the students. You have a wide-variety of choice of different cuisine – local and international dishes.

Q: What kinds of supports are given to extra-ordinarily bright students?

Admissions to BE after Diploma

Q: What are the possibilities for me to seek admission to B.E. after the completion of Diploma course?

Ans.: Admission to B.E. program is based on the Diploma final year marks. The Students completing Diploma is eligible for admission to Direct Second year Degree Course as most of our students choose to join the Degree colleges.

Out of Maharashtra students

Q: What is the procedure of admission For OMS (Out of Maharashtra) students?

Ans.: OMS students do not have separate quota for Diploma admissions. These students also have to follow same online procedure for admission.
